Vino di Anna
Vino di Anna winery is located in the Sicilian village of Passopisciaro, on the slopes of Mount Etna. Anna Martens and her husband, Eric Narioo, own and operate the winery. Anna is from Sweden and has worked in wineries all over the world, while Eric is from England and is the owner of the well-known wine shop and bar Les Caves de Pyrene.
The winery is modest and family-run, with an emphasis on organic and biodynamic farming methods. Anna and Eric feel that working in harmony with nature produces the best wines, and they seek to develop wines that are a real representation of their terroir.
Vineyards at Vino di Anna are situated on Mount Etna's black volcanic soils at heights ranging from 650 to 1000 meters above sea level. The winery offers red, white, and rosé wines made from local grape varieties such as Nerello Mascalese, Carricante, and Catarratto.
Vino di Anna wines are noted for their purity, elegance, and refinement. They are prepared with traditional winemaking procedures, with little interference and low sulfur levels. Each year, the winery creates a limited number of bottles, and their wines are highly sought after by wine connoisseurs and collectors worldwide.
